Umrah
Asalaamalaikum
I have done Umrah and used zero trimmer to remove all my hair from head. After 3 days , I did second umrah and removed all hair using the same zero trimmer?
I want to know is it correct as zero trimmer is equivalent to blade which removes hair completely or blade is required?
I got a doubt so in my 3rd umrah , I used blade

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Zero Trimmers differ from razors and are more like scissors. It is better to use a blade, since the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) made special Dua for those who shave their hair. In Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim it is related that the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said,
عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال اللهم ارحم المحلقين (متفق عليه)
“Oh Allah, have mercy on those who shave their hair (when coming out of Ihraam).”
Only after three times, and after insistence from the Sahaba, did the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) pray for those who trim their hair. And then too, the prayer was only done once.
In light of the above, since it is permissible to also trim, your Umrah is fine. However, for future, it is more rewarding if you use a blade.
