Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahiwa barakatuhu,

  1. The title of Habeeb is not confined to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), or even to Muslims.  It is permissible to use the term for a non Muslim.
  2. There is no problem in calling the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) the best friend of Allah.
