Will i be punish

23 Feb 2021 Ref-No#: 2567

Assalamu alaikum
A room was entered with a shoe that was woer to toilet and the water touched the room floor and dry & kids bed was spread on the floor sometimes they urine touch the floor so we clean the floor everyday but today we didn’t and a guest came and ablute and entered the room with bare foot to pray. I wanted to tell that the floor was not clean but I didn’t saying she didn’t know and she’ll be not be hold at fault. So I prayed on the same praying mat and I was praying I starting thinking what if the guest has matched on a place that there’s impurity in the room and has touched the praying mat but I ignore it because am suffering from waswasa/strong doubt and I read a fatwa that if am not certain I should ignore so i ignored it and continue my prayer. My question is would I be hold at fault for not telling the guest that there might be impurity on the floor as I can’t say where exactly the impurity is? My heart is not at ease.

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

What you have heard is correct. Do not worry or assume that there is impurity based on mere doubt.

There is no sin for not informing the guest.

Maintenance of bride

23 Feb 2021 Ref-No#: 2565

My sister got married in November 2019 and spent 1 month with her husband abroad.
She came back to India alone and she stayed with her husband parents.
Between husband and wife having understanding issues. All elders tried best to make them understand but Groom not in the mood to accept anything even wife apology. He sent the noticed from advocate and fly back.
His parents made an excuse and said to bride we are going out of town for 4 days better you stay at parents house and we will call you once we are back.
After a week Groom parents responded by saying don’t come until your husband allows and permits you to stay with us.
Scenario is more than 2 years now. My sister staying with us and her husband not giving any maintenance to her . He is asking to my sister to take khula because in India as per new law he can’t divorce.
He’s asking to take maher and iddah only no maintenance of 2 years.
I want to know whats the rulling on above matter in islam as per quran and having.
Please note:- My sister not staying with us with her will Groom parents send her and her husband not allowing her .
After came back from abroad my sister was pregnant and had miscarried even in this situation no support from husband physically/financially.

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

In order to respond, kindly advise on the following:

  1. Did the husband permit her to return back to India after one month?
  2. How long did he agree for her to stay?
  3. Did he provide funds for her to return?

Insha Allah, once you respond to these, we will advise accordingly.

Wudu Validity to Pray

Wudu Validity to Pray

23 Feb 2021 Ref-No#: 2558

As Salaam u Alaikum,

My question is in regards to wudu validity. Whenever I make wudu, I usually wash the body parts that need to be washed more than 3 times. The reason for this is because I was told from a young age that you have to have water cover every part of the body part that you are washing. But when I was a body part 3 times, I feel as though there are some parts that haven’t been covered by water, so I proceed to wash it more than 3 times. I just recently found out that washing a body part more than 3 times intentionally is not allowed as the Prophet(pbuh) never did so. So my question is, is my wudu still valid if I wash body parts more than 3 times? And will be prayer be accepted if I pray with that wudu? If my prayer is not accepted, then do I have to now make up all the prayers I made with that wudu in the past? Also since I can’t wash more than 3 times, what am I supposed to do if after washing 3 times, there is still some small spot that wasn’t washed?

Jazakallah,
As Salaam u Alaikum

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

You should determine whether you are convinced that a limb is not fully washed even after three times, or if you are just doubting. If you are merely doubting, then only wash three times, and ignore the doubt. You should never wash more than a maximum of seven times.

If you are convinced that the limb is dry, then you should wash it properly until the entire limb is wet. Train yourself to have the entire limb wet within seven times.

Regarding the past, your prayers will be valid. However, if you just washed numerous times out of doubt, that you should repent for wasting water.

Nikkah

Nikkah

23 Feb 2021 Ref-No#: 2563

Aoa . My question is that if a girl and a boy say Qabool hai to each other 3 times but they are joking . There is no gawah (witness) , no wali (girl’s guardian) , none of the family members of the girl or the boy know about it and it’s just a joke and it’s not their intention to do nikkah bit still they say Qabool hai thrice . Will they be considered husband and wife in the Sunni Islam ? And if so , how to separate ? Kindly answer it as soon as possible . Thanks a lot .

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Nikah takes place with ‘Ijaab (offer) and Qabul (acceptance) in front of two witnesses.

In this case, since there was no Ijaab (offer), nor were there any witnesses, the Nikah is not valid.

It is not permissible for the boy and girl to maintain any relationship. If the boy desires, he may contact the male relatives of the girl and officially ask for her hand in marriage.

23 Feb 2021 Ref-No#: 2562

I want to know my iddah period. My husband died on 18th october 2020
at 3:30pm I am goimg through this period with the help of Almightly. Iddah period is 4 months 10 days i. e. 130days.is this peiod will be completed on 24th feb 2020? .need ur guidance.

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

The 18th of October corresponded to the 1st of Rabi’ al-Awwal in South Africa. If it was also the 1st of Rajab in your country, then your ‘Iddah terminates on the 10th of Rajab. It does not matter if some months had 29 days.

However, if it was not the 1st of Rajab, then your ‘Iddah terminates on the 25th of February.
